It's been awhile, hope you are still there...

Well it has been a very long time since I posted something new. No real excuses other than life and enjoying the time I have been given.

Quick update on my Gladiator Mojave, within a couple months of getting it, we went to the Green Briar Jeep Jamboree and had a blast. Lots of rain made the trails more difficult but great guides and people made the event really fun. Hung up on a tree at one point and really came close to removing my rear driver side light but some quick thinking by my friend and the guides saved the day (and my taillight).

Also ran into some rocks and had a chance to christen my Rock Slide Engineering step/sliders. They took a bit of a beating but that's what they are for! Also hung up the rear bumper on a rock ledge so I see a new steel ARB bumper in my future!

We did do some prep work before the trip and installed a 2.5 inch AEV spacer lift, Metalcloak heavy duty diff covers, an ARB front bumper and a Warn winch, along with 37" Toyos and new wheels. I think the wisest upgrade was the diff skids from Metalcloak.

That trip was about 2 years ago and that's pretty hard to believe to be honest, the time really does fly. Since then I have made continual updates to my Mojave looking for just the right mix of functionality and comfort. I did pickup the ARB rear bumper as well as an updated steering stabilizer, drag link and tie rod from Synergy as well as a cap from OVS. It's coming along nicely and I have been enjoying it as I explore more places to go flyfishing. I will eventually pickup a roof top tent for it, but for now, I am sleeping in the bed if I need to overnight. Here's how she sits presently:
and in Sleep Mode:
Anyway, that's enough of an update for today. Hopefully you all have had some great Adventures over the years...

Thanks!

Big Things can happen When You Attend the NJ Jeep Invasion in Wildwood!

My Wife and I attended the NJ Jeep Invasion on Friday, July 14th with my 2019 JLUR @RetroRubicon and really enjoyed catching up with some old and new friends. Specifically, we were hanging out with Glen and Mike from Globex Performance and I was drooling over Glen's Gladiator. Anyway, we check out all the vendors, took a look at the other Jeeps on display, enjoyed the boardwalk, and then headed home for a Wedding we had on Saturday. On the ride back, we were discussing just how much I had really wanted a Gladiator and what would have been different if they were not delayed when I was shopping for my JLUR back in 2018.

The rest of that night I was on the internet configuring my Gladiator build and checking local inventory.

Shortly after that, I found what I was looking for and we went to the dealer. Long story short, meet Bigfoot!

I will definitely miss my JL but on to a new build a little more Overland focused...
