Camping

Well... we wound up selling our Travato not because we did not like it but because we were not using it enough or the way we planned. Ultimately, it could not pull my Jeep so my wife and I were forced to drive everywhere separately when we needed/wanted both vehicles and ultimately, she likes hotels more! Since I sometimes go out on my own, I though this new Hammock stand from Kammock fit the bill perfectly. It's called the Outpost and I already have their Mantis Hammock so this worked perfectly with my goals. I will post more once I have it and can try it out in April 2023.

While this is all still true, we recently Upgraded our camp rig rather substantially! Over the two years that we owned our No-Bo, we found that there were two things we did not like about it, the entirely too small Wet Bath and the orientation of the queen bed. The Wet Bath was small (which we knew and expected) but the addition of the useless sink inside it was just crazy and took up all to much of the precious space. The bed position required that one person always had to climb over the other person to get out.

Lastly, and most importantly, I HATED towing it behind my Jeep! I was never able to just relax and enjoy the trip so, (drum roll please...)

Now this will require us to drive separately to Jeep events but we will be so much more comfortable once we are there and no one will be stressed! I will update with more pictures in a bit but we can't wait to take it out on it's maiden voyage...

One of the best activities to do with your Jeep is Camping. Exploring new areas, seeing new sites and meeting new people while behind the wheel of your Jeep is sure to bring a smile to your face. There is a growing movement in the US that has a long history in Europe and Australia called Overlanding. It's basically Jeep Camping in my humble opinion and I really enjoy it.

I will share with you my favorite gear and experiences here as it relates to how I outfit my trips and what works best for me and my family. Everything comes with some trade-offs but with some careful planning and preparation, your entire party can have a great experience.
