I have camped since I was very little, it was my families typical vacation and I really enjoyed being outdoors in a new location exploring what was there. Much of our early camping was done in a large Sears canvas tent. It was big and heavy and got wet and was pretty awesome. As my father got a bit older and lost some of the enthusiasm for setting that monstrosity up in the rain, we moved on to get a pop-up camper and used this for the rest of our camping trips, until he only wanted to stay in cabins. Time and age will do that to you, when your body is young and tree roots poking you in the back is still "part of the experience", tents are awesome, as we age, trailers and beds off the ground start to look (and feel) real nice, and finally, we hit the cabins in the woods where we are in-doors and loving the warm soft beds associated. Oh well, at this point, I am somewhere in the middle, I love to still be outdoors camping but it is done mostly in cabins/hotels now, but come April, I should have my new Kammock Outpost to try...
